The view from my hotel room window. The front of this hotel is very upscale and modern. The back is more residential.

With a little time to kill today because of typhoon Chanchu, we visited a local park/garden. This was a resting area there.

Bamboo trees and the undergrowth.

They sure put a beautiful setting on the tables over here.

Another beautiful meal.

Can you see the worried look on my face? I always feel aprehensive when a young Chinese girl wants to take a picture with my camera.

They do some pretty amazing things with vegetables for garnishes over here. This was from a carrot.

LesSchwab Asia?

They don't think anything of it, but advertising the buffet along with the toilets, seems odd to me.

The oldest group of "hacky-sackers" I've ever seen.

I loved this shot of the woman and the umbrella on the bridge. It has rained all day (residue of the typhoon), and this was a keeper.

Some of the local shops are truly amazing. A perfume dispenser.

The local fresh florist.

A street musician... playing traditional chinese songs. I don't know how he got so many different sounds and tones out of this one-stringed instrument.

I couldn't resist this shot. Their Chinese to English translations are apparently hilarious in the signs you see. I'm not sure what they were going for with this one.
