A Quick Trip to China

My first business trip to China. We're going to visit multiple vendors in a few days and expect long, drawn out days of instruction and travel.

Pudong and Leewards

Monday, and another round of meetings. This time we were fortunate enough to get a driver that actually knew his way around, and our meeting with Leewards (Kingain) was on time. They had a much larger factory then Chang Sheng Plastics, and we ate lunch with the VIPs in their private little dining area.

We have so far encountered all levels of English-speaking abilities. This group was a step above yesterday's meeting. They aren't using the Vendor EDI system fully yet, but with some work back home with their buyers, we hope to move this ahead.

After lunch our driver took us back to our hotel, and along the way we were able to arrange a meeting with Sarah and her group and Sportek (they do all the shipping reports for Leewards).

The gang at Leewards. They met with us for a couple of hours and were a little more accomodating than genuine, yet we accomplished some good things.

Sarah (Mike's left) has been our best contact yet. She is responsible for all the shipping information for Leewards and was very helpful and cooperative. Our best meeting yet.

Look how much Mike enjoys having his picture taken.
